Frequently Asked
Questions

Do all fireplaces need servicing?

Wood-burning and gas fireplaces require annual servicing, while bioethanol fireplaces do not. A qualified gas technician is required to maintain gas fireplaces.

Once a year is recommended, ideally before winter. Regular servicing prevents rust, refreshes seals, and keeps your fireplace working safely.

A full chimney sweep and fireplace clean (inside, outside, and glass), safety inspection of all components (vermiculite boards, hinges, handles, grids, ash pans), roof seal check and waterproofing, door seal assessment with replacement quote if needed, and touch-up spray or polishing as an optional extra.
